Jack's birthday became a legit excuse for our batchmates to meet-up, ralaklakan, rilibakan and remember the good 'ol seminary days. Pre-Tournament practice Abu Dhabi. We were able to form an All Filipino team, we name it Kalis, a type of double-edged Filipino sword, often with a "wavy" section, similar to a kris. It's nice to be back to my favourite sport....shooting people that shoots back.

Calling my classmates based in Sorsogon, who can attend the meeting with Mene Dimaano and Tato Marcial during the Alumni Homecoming. I think they will be discussing about the role of the alumni on sustaining our Alma Mater. So if any of you Manila base guys are in contact with Jack, Mark and Ipe kindly inform them about the meeting and let us (Non and Allen) know about the minutes so that we can post it here. Here's the excerp from Jetski's post at the OLPS Tambayan.

"Offhand concrete projects would include, donation of school equipments, refurbishing of dorms, new books for the library, computers, sports equipments, repainting of the buildings etc, etc"

Taong 2006 at isang ordinaryong middle class pinoy si Noah. Nagpakita

sa kanya ang Diyos at sinabing "Pagkataposng isang taon ay bubuhos ang
ulan at babahain ang buong kapuluan ng Pilipinas. Gusto kong
gumawa ka ng isang malaking arko at isakay mo rito ang pares-pares
na mga hayop at mga mag-asawang pilipino sa iba't ibang

kapuluan." Ibinigay kay Noah ang specs ng Arko at taos puso nitong tinanggap ang responsibilidad na sagipin ang sambayanang Pilipino sa napipintong pagbaha.

Lumipas ang taon, muling nagpakita ang Diyos kay Noah. Walang arkong
nagawa si Noah at galit na galit siyang tinanong ng Diyos, "Nasaan ang arko na ipinagawa ko sa iyo?" Tumugon si Noah, "Patawarin po ninyo ako kung di po
natupad ang utos ninyo! Nagkaroon po ng malaking problema sa plano po ninyo."

At inilahad ni Noah ang mga sagabal na nakaharap niya sa pag-gawa ng arko.
Humingi siya ng Mayor's permit pero papayag lang daw si Mayor kung ang gagawa ng arko ay ang construction firm ng kanyang pamangkin. Tumungo siya sa
Congressman pero papayag lang daw si Congressman kung may matatanggap siyang

Natunugan ng mga left-leaning groups ang kanyang balak at ang mga ito ay

nila itong unconstitutional dahil hindi raw nito iginalang ang separation ng
church at state .

Nakialam na rin ang NBI at PNP at sinabi nilang meron silang impormasyon
na ang barko raw na ito ay gagamitin ni Erap sa kanyang pagtakas. Sinabi naman ng ISAFP at DOJ na ito raw ay gagamitin ng grupong Magdalo sa binabalak nilang coup laban kay Arroyo. Nilapitan ni Noah si Mike Defensor para makipag-usap kay GMA. Payag daw si GMA na ituloy ang arko kung ipapaskil
daw sa arko ang malaking mukha ni Arroyo na may slogan "Towards a Strong Republic". "Hindi po ako pumayag kaya hanggang ngayon po ay may TRO ang pag-gawa ng arko.

Sa palagay ko po kailangan ko pa ng 10 taon para matapos ang inyong proyekto." Ang huling wika ni Noah. Napa-iling ang Diyos at sinabing, "Di ko na kailangang
wasakin pa ang bansang ito. Hayaan ko na lang kayong sumira nito."

This is where the Freshmen, Rookies and FNGs were kept. Our beadle was Optimus Prime Alvin Pura who just finished his medical studies, congrats sano! This dorm was memorable to one of our batchmates. He claimed he saw St. Peter while on his midnight rendevouz with his little Peter. Epekto san laen nagkakarigos after san games. Hey, notice that there's no more T-Bars.

The Formators' Wing. Rooms from L-R. The room near the stairs is the lucious Tia Glo's room. She is the reason why sick people in the next room, the Infermary (The Bawang Room), laen nagaayad..hmm I wonder why? The next room was Fr. Arwyn's room. It's an extension of the infermary where extreme cases of bun-i is treated. It's also an extension of chapel piano. In this room birit stars were born. So if you don't sing and you're off to Fr. Arwyn's room bun-ihon ka. The next two rooms are for the bros. coming in and out the OLPS. We had a couple of bros. during our time, Bro. Anlu, Bro. Hamto and Bro. Abet. The last room in the far right was Fr. Libby's room, great priest to confess to very little penance. Suki sa mga mahilig mag "exercise". When Fr. Libby left Fr. Louie better known as Tay Lou to seminarians moved in. Tay Lou was the spiritual director and was known for his American Tales during our classes.

My Escape Route

The late Tatong and I took turns in escaping OLPS just to buy gin from Kusina sa Baryo. This was our escape route. The operation: GSM commenced during recreation time just after dinner. Gosh, I feel like Ethan Hunt during those days. So where do we consume it? That's the secret place of the BURATI (ala Illuminati), only the worthy will find out.

I didn't have the chance to check this frame in detail, but I guess these are the priest who graduated from OLPS Minor and Major. This frame is displayed in the visitor's room. They removed the one with the map of Sorsogon province and the photos of seminarians from different towns. I wonder why they took that down? It still nice to know how many seminarians are from your town whenever you have a chance to visit OLPS.
